The magic of June 23rd in Guardamar

The Bonfires of St. John (Hogueras de San Juan) are one of the most eagerly awaited events of the summer on the Costa Blanca, and Guardamar lives them with a special intensity. The big moment is the Nit Màgica, which kicks off at 11:00 PM on the night of June 23rd, at Playa Centro, at the end of the seafront promenade.

There, a spectacle of dance, live music, water, and fire recreates an ancient legend tied to the solstice. When the story reaches its climax, a great bonfire is lit on the sand and, almost at midnight (12:00 AM), the sky blazes with a display of fireworks over the sea. 

It’s an ancient ritual (fire that purifies, water that renews, summer that begins) and, at the same time, one of the most photogenic scenes of the entire year.

Our terrace rises over Guardamar facing the sea. From here, the sky opens up wide and the fireworks over the Mediterranean unfold with that calm perspective only the heights can offer: no stress, no rush, no scrambling for a spot in the crowd. While the Nit Màgica sets the beach ablaze at 11:00 PM, you’ll watch it from above without missing a thing. And when the magic midnight arrives, almost at 12:00 AM, you’ll already be in the front row, ready for the moment Guardamar lights up. • When: the Nit Màgica begins at 11:00 PM on June 23rd in Guardamar, and the fireworks display lights up the sky near at midnight (12:00 AM).
• Sky Bar hours: we open from 6:00 PM. We recommend coming up early to enjoy the sunset before the show.
